LINWORTH LEAFS PULLS UPSET, MOOSE LOSE 1ST PLACE SEED

The Moose have had several interesting games with the Linworth Leafs, especially the very famous shooutout about 1 1/2 seasons ago. While Ryan Schultz and Daniel Lynn both hit metal, the Moose could not find the back of the net and lost in that long-lasting shootout. The Linworth Leafs entered this game with a little bit of hurt still left from the 6-0 thrashing they recieved in an earlier game. The Moose went into this game with high excectations of winning this game, and continuing on with a 4-0 record, and adding to their good start of a season. This was not to be the case, however. The Linworth Leafs came out strong and started with a 1-0 lead which they turned into a 3-1 victory of the top-seeded Moose. The goalie matchup was not excactly the same as it had been in the "shootout game" as it is called, but very similar. #30 from the Linworth Leafs was between the posts and as was Troy. #30 only allowed 1 goal the entire game, and the Leafs took shot after shot after shot and came away with 3 goals. A dejected Moose Hockey team walked into the locker after being dealt the loss, but for the Linworth Leafs, they can look at this game as an improvment. As of October 27, they are 3-4. Obviously, this was quite an upset for Linworth, but the Leafs always seem to do well in this matchup. As of the last 3 games, the Leafs are 2-1, including the "shootout game". As the Moose intend to continue the march to the playoffs, they are relatively comftorable with their 5-2 record. However, the hardest games may be still to come....
